The story of OllieBear

This is my dog, Ollie. He is the younger of my two dogs. He’s one of the best dogs you could ever ask for, but he’s not very bright. That’s okay. He’s perfect the way he is. When Ollie gets…

Not the Biggest Loser

I have no idea how this happened (okay I do) but Charlie’s now 30 lbs. Not too sure how to deal with this, as he, Misty, and Max share the same bowl of food.* He’s not much of an exerciser,…

The cat days of summer

Congrats Joe from Stratford! I was at Home Depot! The store’s playlist really boggled my mind. I thought that a home improvement store would have more…manly…music. (No offense to the Wandering Minstrel or any other guy who digs girly power…

Come and knock on my door!

I’ve been waiting for you… I wanted to give you a bitty update on where the apartment stands. I mentioned before that it’s starting to look like a home. I’m actually proud of my little living room/kitchen now. (Bedroom’s still…

Letter to a brown canine

Dear Max: When I come home from work and I’m already wearing my sneakers, this means that I have been to Curves already. And I’ve exercised already. And I most likely am tired and sweaty and do NOT want to…

Catching up

Catching up (warning: long!)I could lie to you and say I didn’t blog for a week out of respect for President Reagan, but that’d be a big fat lie. Being that I prefer small white lies instead, I’ll tell the…

Settling in

Listening to Jessica Simpson sing is like listening to someone make balloon animals. You have to endure a bunch of random squeaking noises and cringe while waiting for the POP. How are we coping w/the house? When we were at…

Happy Birthday Dad! I’m not feeling too well today. My stomach is all gurgly and I’m freezing, even though the heat is on. Two pair of socks and my feet are still like ice. I hope to high Heaven that…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
