Friday musings

When I started blogging back in late 2002, it was just me keeping a diary of what I do. I think until I get my groove back, I’m going to revert to that type of journaling. This morning I managed…

What have you missed?

Summer was the best and then House Russell slammed into Sad Girl Autumn with the ferocity of a Super Dave stunt. Yeah. Like that. I’m going to start with good things..> I had a birthday!> WM and I went to…

Lovin’ Summer, had me a blast

I decided a long time ago I have no desire to live past the age of 83. It seems macabre (and trust that I’m not going to kill myself on my 83rd birthday) but when you have more summers behind…

Show us your Books: August 2019

Does the new theme make up for the fact I’ve been a D- blogger? *grin* I need to tweak the fonts a bit but I like it – it’s simpler and I need that right now. I also created a…

Show us your Books: July 2019

Friends, I feel as if I am having a minor midlife crisis. I’ve completely checked out of my usual life for the summer. Things I am doing: Spending time puttering in the gardenThinking about NEXT year’s gardenPosting Instagram stories about…

Show Us Your Books: June 2019

What the hell happened to May, Kim?? Don’t know. It’s funny. I was on a reading TEAR and then got into a new book and…stopped. I kept reading a half-chapter and putting it down. And then I got distracted by…

May 2019

(subtitle: where the hell have you been?) Hi there! Heck of a month, eh? I can’t quite explain WHY I haven’t been blogging, I just haven’t. Things have been great though! See? Nephew A’s 5th birthday party was at a…

Angry Man Farms 2019: Outside

So much has changed in 3 weeks! Thanks to this bonehead WM had to make some modifications to the raised bed. The front screen is removable so I can weed and water. He also personalized it, which made me smile….

Savannah 2019

I had the fortune to be able to travel to Savannah earlier this month for work — the same PersoniFest that brought me to Austin last year — and ye Gods, what a gorgeous city. Savannah is a very walkable…

Home sick

I went to Savannah and came home with what turned into an ear infection and bronchitis! I have pictures to share and stories to tell but for now I’m sleeping, watching You’ve Got Mail (my sick day tradition), and spending…

Show us your Books – April 2019

Oh hey, I’m late to the books party. I was in warm, gorgeous (and gnat-filled) Savannah for a work conference and WHOOSH. Gone went the blog. Thank heavens I actually smartened up and wrote a lot of this as I…

Angry Man Farm: Raised Garden Bed!

A while ago when WM and I were heading to the PA Renaissance Faire, we passed some farms and idly wondered what our farm name would be, if we had one. We laughingly settled on Angry Man Farm. Whenever we…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
