Adventure Aquarium!

fat fish

The last time I was at the aquarium in Camden it was early 2000 and I was there for an event the C-P threw for its readers to mark the new millennium. That was before Gannett ruined it and all of its other local newspapers. Yesterday I took Nephew A, who will be SIX in April (and Mom, who had never been there before) and we had a great time! Although A is one of the two cutest children in existence, I keep his face off of the blog, hence the weird photos. If you want to see an actual photo of ...

NJ Renaissance Faire and my first zipline!

This weekend, WM and I headed north to Liberty Lake Day Camp in Bordentown to attend our third New Jersey Renaissance Faire. If you live anywhere in NJ and have yet to visit the New Jersey Renaissance Faire, please go give it a try. And you're like, "Yeah, yeah, Kim. We go to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire every year and it's huge and amazing!" I know! It is! We go too. But the NJ one only runs for 3 weekends a year, and it will charm the pants/kilts/pantaloons off of you. It's ...

Friday 5: Over/Under

Happy Saturday! Listen, like one of those little capsules you put in a glass of water which grows into a large sponge dinosaur or a penis, Murphy has soaked up all of my spare time. By Friday nights, WM, Ollie, and I are completely tapped out. It was a rough week, overall. This week was TNP's Big!Annual!Meeting! and that's an event that everyone plays a part in, even if it's not your department and you don't even go. It went well and that's a relief. And WM took a tumble at work down a ...

The Meeting.

I was fired today. Ha! I kid. Nah. Wasn't that bad. Wasn't my greatest performance to date, but I muddled through. Gambling-wise, I'm about $80 down...which I'll either wake at 4am and try to make back, or just call it a trip. I had some fun at the craps table. Was totally wrong about the MJ verdicts. While I think he's guilty, I respect the jury's finding. They had a lot more info (and time to look over that info) than I did. But Michael? Is a total freak. Go away. Move to Europe, where ...

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
