Memorial Day

It is Memorial Day, it is rainy, and I am sick. At first I was bummed. Having a cold (which developed into a cough almost immediately) is a real inconvenience. But then I realized that the cough I had from…

May 29, 2004

It’s been a pretty good few days. Thor and I scored 2 last-minute tix to the Camden Riversharks game last night. The Sharks won, 6-4, thanks to a 3-run homer! Our seats were one row off of the field, behind…

Loose ends

I forgot to mention that the loose ends from the move are being tied up one by one. All of our phone jacks now work. We bought a lawnmower and Thor did a valiant job this weekend. And the missing…

Settling in

Listening to Jessica Simpson sing is like listening to someone make balloon animals. You have to endure a bunch of random squeaking noises and cringe while waiting for the POP. How are we coping w/the house? When we were at…

Open letter, last in a 3-part series

Dear Thor, Well, if you’ve been reading, you’ll know how sucky yesterday was. You called in the midst of it, and made me smile, and I truly appreciate that. So we’ll not talk about work. Except for the heaps of…

An open letter

Dear Thor: I was glad to hear that you made it to Mississippi safe and sound. Even though you sleep while I’m awake, there is still an emptiness when you’re not here. Weird. Max is so upset that you aren’t…

Boston Rob

I [heart] Boston Rob. I hope he goes all the way. I hope he and Amber get married and live forever with (one of) their million dollars. I believe in fairy tales. In other news, tonight Max learned how to…

On lemons, lemonade, and paycheck stubs

I really didn’t want to work the Taste of Home show last night. Not nary in the least. Damon had a personal day yesterday, so I didn’t make my 3:30pm start time. Exhausted from a full day of work, I…

Nope, no flu.

Nope, no flu. Just a gurgly stomach that I attribute to stresses at work and beyond. The job is going well, so to speak. I’m still grossly unconfident, but I’m sure that will change as time marches on. On the…

DAoC and homes

I did two things today that I never thought I’d do: 1) I started playing Dark Age of Camelot (again). I rolled a Cleric named Gynnett. Pronounced “Gannett,” natch. Every other name I created was already taken, and if with…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
