Perspective

Is this thing on? After a week of introspection and sadness, our Halloween party happened. If I had my druthers, I would have cancelled it, but the invitations went out a while back and the guests were looking forward to…

Memorial Day

It is Memorial Day, it is rainy, and I am sick. At first I was bummed. Having a cold (which developed into a cough almost immediately) is a real inconvenience. But then I realized that the cough I had from…

Valentine’s Day disappointment

Another VDay come and gone. And it was pretty darn uneventful. We didn’t make any plans, so we ended up staying in. Cards exchanged, some Dark Age of Camelot played. Chinese Takeout for dinner. Thor fell asleep at 9ish, and…

thievery at the paper

By the way, much ‘love’ to the misanthrope who stole two of my Disney ornaments from our Christmas tree here at work. I had a set of 5 miniature Disney ornaments. Minnie and Pluto are gone. That just smacks of…

New Year’s Eve 2003

Yesterday was a slight improvement — was here only until 3:30. See, I’m a firm believer in an 8 hour workday. I’ll bust my arse to get it all done by quitting time. That’s why I get grumpy if I’m…

Christmas 2003 recap

Christmas is a snowflake that you watch fall slowly from the sky. For what seems like forever, you squint your eyes, crane your neck skyward and follow its erratic path. And as it gets closer to you, you become excited,…

Christmas Day 2003

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2:13-14 It’s a pass-along wreath! Save the image…

December 24 – morning

It’s another Christmas Eve. And I’m here at work which wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have much cooler thing to be doing. I enjoyed the Christmas lights on all the houses on the ride in to work today….

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
