Currently, rainy edition

Listening to the continuing rain. It started Saturday afternoon, but I did manage to get some time in at my personal “swim club.” The handiwork at the top right is WM’s effort to keep Murphy and Jack (the boxer living…

Succulent birdbath garden

Back in April as I was chasing Murphy around the yard I tripped over something that turned out to be a birdbath buried underneath the ivy that covers the back third of our backyard. After some Pinterest researching, here’s what…

Around the House

This summer all of the HGTV we’ve been watching finally began to stick, because we did quite a lot of work around the house. WM built a work bench for the garage. It’s spiffy. Next he built some above-window shelves…

Currently, mid-April edition

Eating pounds of Easter bread that I baked this weekend. I am just a load of carbs, and I didn’t even have any Easter candy. Waiting for our grass out front to grow. We seeded it 10 hours ago and…

February update

Hello, lovelies! I was going to quietly sunset this blog after the last post but UGH I miss it too much. So you’re stuck with sporadic updates until I die or retire and can’t afford hosting, I guess. Today is…

My defeat garden

(not to become a Victory Garden until it bears edible products) My self-mutilation is healing quite well. I think. Cleaning it isn’t so bad and bactine is now sting-free. (Kids are wimps these days…sting-free bactine, custom flavored medicine, gumdrop vitamins)….

I beg your pardon…

Somewhat lazy weekend. We cancelled the yard sale due to dampness and rain, and the fact that we couldn’t get everything together in time. Maybe the first Saturday in May? Sunday we finally planted the garden in the bed we…

Catch-up

Thor’s at the theater experiencing part 3 of six but really-hopefully- the last Star Wars movie. As you can tell, I’m not there. To each his own. Now before I go out and start tending to our barren garden…let’s catch…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

the wombsday clock graphic with two teal haired women in white rockers. It has reached 12 months and there are teal and white stars all over the graphic.
Well, that happened.
