Still too much effort

If your tutorial for an ‘effortless messy bun’ includes hairspray… You’re already putting too much effort into it.

Friday 5: Ice Is Forming on the Tips of My Wings

WM and me mugging for camera

Happy Friday and DAMN I’m tired. I think I’m getting a cold because I feel fuzzy in the head. So we’re going to get right to the Friday 5, and I’m going to hie to my sofa and quilts. This…

Show us your books: November 2018

Life is slipping through my fingers so quickly lately — like I’m trying to hold onto sand. I go to work, I go home, I’m doing things, but by the time I get to the point of the day that…

Posting to kimberussell blog page on Facebook

Hi! This is how I’m going to use the app. This blog is mine alone. I make no money off of it, but I’m lazy and want to use my plugin (xyzscripts) to post automatically to FB. 1) I log…

Friday 5: After ‘Im

Happy Friday! This time last week I was at Walt Disney World. Look at this magic! The fireworks started just as we came to the front of the line to have our picture taken. Gorgeous. SIGH. We left last Thursday…

Murphy: Downward facing dog

Murphy is allowed on sofas and beds, yet he loves lying on my yoga mat. One thing’s for sure — he has savasana down pat.

Ollie: Things are looking up

Murphy: A pet of his own

Not long ago I was in the yard doing crossword puzzles when I saw Murphy standing in the ivy, head in a bush, tail wagging. *wagwagwagwagwagwagwagwagwagwagwagwag* NOT a good sign. I crossed the yard. “Hey Murph! What’cha got there?” He…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
