TNP took us all to the Philadelphia Zoo for a team-building exercise. After a big ol' picnic/buffet lunch (hot dogs, hamburgers, barbeque chicken) in the Peacock Pavilion we divided up into four teams and went on a scavenger hunt. All of the clues were in the various exhibits, and there were bonus questions from non-exhibit signage. We did a lot of running around and although we *saw* a lot, we didn't get to *see* much of it because we were in a hurry. Even though my team came in LAST place ...
Throwback Thursday: TNP Interview 1
I know the spirit of Throwback Thursday is supposed to be old pictures of yourself, but I've been doing that for 11 years now, and if you're looking for a catalog of my bad hair and wardrobe styling through the years, go here and start from the bottom. Have a drink whenever my hair is too blonde. This weekend as I was cleaning off my bead table, I found a notebook from three years ago. Give yourself a second to think about that horror. Cookie tally & work holiday wrapup
The cookies are done and I sang "O night Diviiiiiiine" as I shoved the cooling racks into the dishwasher and put the mixer back up on top of the fridge. When most of my TNP coworkers found out (by my chirping "Today's my anniversary!" -- I keep track of these things) they mostly marveled that it seems like I've been there longer than a year. Which either means: I am such an integral part of the workplace that they can't imagine life without me; or I am like a lingering cough that never goes away. I choose to ...
Three months at TNP
April 23rd marked my three month anniversary at TNP. And I'm still there! So much of this blog contains accounts of abandoning diets & fitness routines, quitting hobbies and subtle accounts of self-inflicted social hermitude that I have to brag. Not to you, but to me, because I use this blog as my own historical reference. (I certainly don't use it to make money, although I did get divorced before the popular bloggers started divorcing so I should be rolling in cash from another 'niche' market. ...
