Yoga with Adriene Find What Feels Good Roadshow – Philadelphia

For almost 2 years, I’ve been practicing yoga with the Yoga with Adriene videos on Youtube. I LOOOOOOOOVE them because I can practice in my home, for free, whenever I want. When Adriene announced that she was taking her Find…

NFL Draft Experience 2017

The NFL Draft Experience was in Philadelphia two weeks ago and was only a 20-minute walk away from TNP. Who knows when this could happen again, so on that Friday some of my coworkers and I took a walk to…

Friday 5: Gimme one reason

Random alley taken from my work shuttle. Only tangentially related to this post.[/caption]Oh, sweet, glorious weekend. By the time I got home from work yesterday I was calling myself Old Woman Russell. I hit the sofa with my Surface, opened…

Date Night: Raiders of the Lost Ark Concert

WM is a huge fan of Indiana Jones. Submitted as evidence: Our costumes for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party last October: I’ve dressed up often for Halloween, but I have never received such favorable reactions as I did with…

Five years!

Today is my FIVE YEAR anniversary at TNP, which really isn’t The New Place at all anymore. Not so shabby for someone who thought she’d be fired before her first year was done. It’s a good place to work, and…

Christmastime in the City

One lovely day during the Season, Mom and I traveled a great distance* into Philadephia to see the sights. We saw: The Holiday show in the Comcast Center lobby, which was delightful. It would also be a great place to…

Pennsylvania Conference for Women

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Pennsylvania Conference for Women on October 16. TNP paid for all of their female employees to go which, as I type it out, is weird and sad for the men….

Working at the Philadelphia Zoo

TNP took us all to the Philadelphia Zoo for a team-building exercise. After a big ol’ picnic/buffet lunch (hot dogs, hamburgers, barbeque chicken) in the Peacock Pavilion we divided up into four teams and went on a scavenger hunt. All…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
