Cloudy but magical!

We travelled well despite the 30 minute delay in taking off. Thor and I slept most of the flight. We arrived at the Polynesian at 11:30ish. My dinner was a piece of chocolate cake and some chocolate milk. I love…

Grumpy Dwarf

I’m still alive. Just nothing much to write about. Well, I could go on about my disappointment with the Disney Store. First, a bit of background. I worked at the Disney Store in Echelon Mall for about 2 years –…

On the Record

Tonight, Mom and I took the train into Philly to see Disney’s On the Record, their nationally touring musical revue. My God…I was in heaven. I’ll be singing Disney tunes all day tomorrow – pity my coworkers. The cast was…

The Beautiful Briny

Last night after dinner, Thor and I stood on the deck and gazed at the stars. Our ship had been at sea all day, and we were surrounded by absolutely nothing but ocean. But as the moonbeams shimmered on the…

Last full day at sea

I hit another yoga class this morning. This is NOT YMCA yoga. the instructor had us go through 3 different vinyasas (sequences of poses) and had us hold each pose for 30 seconds. Between today and Monday, I did 12…

Snorkel-girl!

As part of our excursion today, Thor and I ended up kayaking 2 miles through gorgeous mangrove lagoons. And I snorkeled for the first time! See, I’m a very poor swimmer (the phrase “epilleptic chimpanzee” has come up when talking…

Greetings from St. Thomas!

Another day, another island. This one is US “owned,” so we had to rise at 6:45 this morning to present ourselves (and more importantly, our IDs) to US Border Patrol. You have to do this when you go from a…

Stump your Captain!

(our position: 20.7N 67.5W) Yesterday afternoon, Thor and I attended a mini-documentary on the makeover of the Disney Magic which occurred the last time it went into dry dock. It was about 30 minutes long, and very fascinating. They noted…

USAirways is the suck, continued

I didn’t win at Bingo. But I did try the drink of the day, a Yellow Bird, which consisted of rum, creme de banana, Galliano, orange juice and pineapple juice. Yup…just juices. Because it’d be really bad to drink at…

Ahoy from the Ocean!

To review, we got really screwed on Friday night’s flight. We were rescheduled for a 6am flight to Charlotte, connecting to an 8am flight, arriving in Orlando at 9:29am. Our bags were scheduled for the first direct flight to Orlando…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
