January 6, 2003 – lunchtime

Lunchtime! Munching on a Subway 6" turkey breast sandwich with no cheese and just vinegar for dressing. Add in a Diet Pepsi and a bag of WOW chips and I'm good to go. I don't usually eat WOW chips (they're the kind with Olestra which pushes the fat right through your bod) but today I'm super hungry. I'm SO hungry that I've finished the whole meal and am just as hungry as I was before I started. (sigh) It's gonna be a tough day.Yesterday my ABS (anti-lock brake system) was engaged for the first ...

January 6, 2003 – morning

I have a minute to wait for one of my Hot Jobs to convert to .pdf so I'll do this morning's entry. Wt: 145.3 (um...going in wrong direction here)Mood: HUNGRY!What a perfect snow! The roads are clear and dry, but the snow clings to everything else. It makes everything look postcard-perfect. We're supposed to get perhaps another inch this afternoon. With my new blue snowjacket, I'm prepared. Oh yeah, I know wear snowboots in to work and change into my real shoes when I get here. File that under ...

January 5 2003 – evening

It's snowing! We've got snow!Mom and I went out this afternoon to have lunch at Panera (French Onion soup) and then to shop at Echelon Mall, which is falling apart quickly. It lost anchor store number 4, Sears, last year. Anchor store #2, JCPenney, is closing later this month. That's sad for me personally -- I worked there for almost 4 years thru college and although they had odd management practices I have many good memories of my coworkers and customers. Most of the ' name' stores inside are ...

Mood: happy/sleepyYum! What a great dinner at Fork! Although we arrived 30 minutes late due to bad Yahoo Map directions, the table was held for us. I had the Seafood Bisque, Free-range Chicken covered in some sort of sauce with Red Bliss potatoes and Cauliflower, and Peppermint Tea infused Creme Brulee for dessert.(note: I'd give my pinky toe anytime for a good creme brulee!)Had a glass of Fabiano Pinot Grigio. I'm a wine idiot -- know nothing about it but have heard the term Pinot Grigio ...

Mood: betterEeeeesh...even though there were 5 of us there, we only got through ONE room. But that's behind me now, as all I'm thinking about is the searing pain in my muscles from this morning's workout.Well...gotta get ready to go! ...

Wt:143.8Mood: DreadPlans: Go to Philly to help clean out MomMom's house, dinner w/David tonight at Fork in Philly.Woke at 8:00ish for a 8:40 appointment with the doc for a blood test. Nothing wrong, just a routine thing. Came home and ate a smidge while training Dierdre Sim's logic, then back out to Target for new sports bras (mine are too big now -- sob!) and a new Sony Discman, for my old one broke after two years of hard use. I had a Balance Oasis bar (for women) -- UGH how horrible. Tastes ...

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
