Yoga with Adriene Find What Feels Good Roadshow – Philadelphia

For almost 2 years, I’ve been practicing yoga with the Yoga with Adriene videos on Youtube. I LOOOOOOOOVE them because I can practice in my home, for free, whenever I want. When Adriene announced that she was taking her Find…

Around the House

This summer all of the HGTV we’ve been watching finally began to stick, because we did quite a lot of work around the house. WM built a work bench for the garage. It’s spiffy. Next he built some above-window shelves…

Currently on a Sunday Night

Watching: America Ninja Warrior episodes from this summer. When I’m doing hard things, I picture Akbar Gbajabiamila saying “I SEE YOU KIM! I SEE YOU!” I’d like to have fewer heart-tugging background stories and more runs, but it’s still a…

Friday 5 on Sunday? Yes, Sunday.

Between a birthday week that was less-than*, and concerns over the biggest hurricane ever headed right toward Retired-Guy Land, FL, I’m glad to be in another calendar week. Here’s the Friday 5 that was supposed to be done on Friday,…

The Lady at 45 :This I believe

Today I’m 45 years old. It’s a milepost for me. When I turned 40 I believed I’d live past 80, but at 45 I don’t think I’ll make it to 90 so I am officially on the downward side of…

Currently, Labor Day weekend edition

At any given time, to reduce stress (and HOO BOY THIS SUMMER) I pick one of these three: eating, drinking alcohol or biting my nails. I’ll give you one guess as to which one I’ve been resorting to. One guess….

Seattle 2017

Our fifth anniversary was in July and we spent it sitting on a crosscountry flight on our way back from our second trip to Seattle. Not the best way to spend the day, but a great trip to mark the…

Total Eclipse of the Heart

In case you’ve been living under a rock, there was a total solar eclipse in North America yesterday. And while I wasn’t passionate enough to get myself into the path of totality, I wasn’t about to miss out on the…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
