Budget (not ab) crunches

I crunched so hard on my budget yesterday that my brain’s just fried today. The big weekly meeting was cancelled as well, which leaves a 4 hour gap of totally free time. (Two hours for the meeting, two to get…

Dollars and sense?

Dollars and sense? If there is one aspect of my “Junior Executive Management Barbie” job that I hate the most, it’s creating the budget for the 1st half / 2nd half of the year. I’m required to be rational and…

Paperback writer

Paperback writer Yeesh…that cold was tough. It seems like the older I get, the fewer times I get sick, but the harder I get hit by those colds. I stayed home from work on Friday as well, making me double-paranoid…

Slacker

Slacker Home sick today. Usually, I’d feel guilty, but the last sick day I took (according to my blog) was in August, and April before that. That’s the good thing about having a blog. I can look these things up!…

Musing

Musing I’d love for a president to adopt a dog from a shelter rather than buy one from a breeder. Plus, pets should NOT be given as gifts. Even though I highly doubt Mrs. Bush will be the one actually…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
