Disney? Commercial? Never!

A Disney popcorn popper. Wow. Just…wow. We’re currently back at the hotel waiting out some storms that are blowing through. Tonight we have (yet another) priority seating at ‘Ohana. All you can eat meat. Brought to you on skewers by…

Anniversary!

Total surprise. We were getting to leave for our Segway tour of Epcot’s World Showcase when Thor popped this box out of his pocket. Six diamonds plus eight sapphires (my birthstone) make for one puddly Gypsy. We were the first…

Aflac!

Overheard outside my door at 7:30am: QUAAAAAAACK! QUAAAAAAAAAAAACK! Apparently Hitchcock is staying directly above us and was feeding the ducks again. Now the ducks are camping out on our patio…waiting. Yesterday we went to Disney/MGM studios. We rode the usual…

Cloudy but magical!

We travelled well despite the 30 minute delay in taking off. Thor and I slept most of the flight. We arrived at the Polynesian at 11:30ish. My dinner was a piece of chocolate cake and some chocolate milk. I love…

The Beautiful Briny

Last night after dinner, Thor and I stood on the deck and gazed at the stars. Our ship had been at sea all day, and we were surrounded by absolutely nothing but ocean. But as the moonbeams shimmered on the…

Snorkel-girl!

As part of our excursion today, Thor and I ended up kayaking 2 miles through gorgeous mangrove lagoons. And I snorkeled for the first time! See, I’m a very poor swimmer (the phrase “epilleptic chimpanzee” has come up when talking…

Greetings from St. Thomas!

Another day, another island. This one is US “owned,” so we had to rise at 6:45 this morning to present ourselves (and more importantly, our IDs) to US Border Patrol. You have to do this when you go from a…

Stump your Captain!

(our position: 20.7N 67.5W) Yesterday afternoon, Thor and I attended a mini-documentary on the makeover of the Disney Magic which occurred the last time it went into dry dock. It was about 30 minutes long, and very fascinating. They noted…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
