Rabbit rabbit – back from National Harbor, MD

This post will fail my posting standards on two points: > There is no twee April Fool prank. When I was younger, I’d flip the site backward on April Fool’s, but this year I basically forgot what day it was….

Fall business trip 2014: Atlanta

After the respiratory nightmare that was Las Vegas I was eager for my Fall business trip so I could have some fun without ending up on an inhaler. I was up to go to either Denver or Atlanta. I was…

Virginia Beach 2014

This is the second year A-Woww and Cooki (aka Mom and I) went to Virginia Beach for a getaway. Last year we went and I felt as if I was cheating on the Jersey Shore. This year? Eff the guilt….

Spring business trip 2014: Las Vegas

Oh, Vegas. I’ve had some great travel with TNP. New Orleans, twice. Both great. San Francisco? Amazeballs. Chicago? Awesome. So when I was offered the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas to (wo)man a table at a meeting for Hospital…

Friday Five: Fireday Five

I know. It’s Saturday. But it’s a different kind of Saturday as I’m currently on an airplane heading to Spring Business Trip 2014 – which happens to be in Las Vegas! And I’m on the internet. This life, it’s so…

The story of OllieBear

This is my dog, Ollie. He is the younger of my two dogs. He’s one of the best dogs you could ever ask for, but he’s not very bright. That’s okay. He’s perfect the way he is. When Ollie gets…

Stupid Beading Tricks: The New Orleans Bracelets

While in New Orleans, we found a shop in the French Quarter that sold strands of beads. No, not boob-flashing beads*, REAL beads! So I bought a string of fluorite because they were purple and green just like the many…

New Orleans – Day 1

I woke up at 3:10am for my 6:00am flight. The Garden District smells like gardenias. I had amazing BBQ shrimp at Mr. B’s Bistro. Our booth looks awesome. I heard “When the Saints Go Marching In” five times. There are…

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

TNP is sending a coworker and me to represent it at a medical conference… IN NEW ORLEANS! (ahem) I haven’t been to New Orleans since I had gigantic glasses and unnaturally blonde hair! Today’s my travel day. I’ll have my…

New Year, same me

Well, hello, Blog! (nervous laugh). Happy New Year! I’ve become a subscriber to Better Homes & Gardens magazine. That seems odd since I have neither a home nor a garden, but a one-year subscription was offered to me at $5….

WDW: Back to the Magic

From my cell phone! Multimedia message Magic kingdom. Don’t know whether to laugh or cry so I’ll do a bit of both and call myself healthy. 🙂

I'm okay. You're even better!

Look! A Monday and a non-suicidal post? No way!! Did some travelling this weekend (I hate announcing that stuff in advance now that I’m solo) and (among other things) met up with the Wandering Minstrel. We saw the Grand Rapids…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
