Happy Thanksgiving 2006

Hm. In such an … interesting … year it’s easy to give an ol’ middle finger to Thanksgiving Day. Normally by now I’d be getting ready to pop the bird in the oven. But this year the whole game changed….

Happy Birthday to me. Yay.

Today I turn 34. Let’s hope it’s better than 33 was. Last night I was regaled by Mom, John, and Kristen. Let me tell you, 35 candles (one for good luck) make a LOT of smoke when blown out. (cake…

Independence day

I wore this dress on Friday – a bad day – and had people saluting me at work as I went by. I can only wear this dress once or twice a year. Happy Independence day to you, and to…

Update in photos

Easter, sadly, doesn’t really mean much to me anymore. I’m still trying to find my way, religion-wise, so I didn’t observe Lent or go to Mass. I don’t go to church on a regular Sunday, so I’d feel hypocritical going…

April Fool!

I’ve been pulling the same “backward site” trick for years now and it still doesn’t get old! At least not to me.

Where’s Santa?

From the PhoneCam! Guess where? Originally uploaded by ladygypsy. Santa’s place at the cherry hill mall. It’s called harmony garden and has not one ounce of north pole whimsy. Worse, the way it’s set up, you can’t even catch a…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
