May & June Goals – how did I do?

planner pages for May and June

Terrible, which is why I'm burying this mid-July. I'm drinking water and taking vitamins and making every excuse ever to avoid the gym, even when I see the charge hit my card. NEXT WEEK. I go back NEXT WEEK or else I'm cancelling the membership less than 1 year after joining. I lived through my colonoscopy. I'll make the dermatologist appointment when I get home from Virginia Beach and hope this stupid sunburn (I used SPF! I sat beneath an umbrella!) fades before I go. I am dutifully ...

April Goals – how did I do?

April goal page from planner - everything explained in text below.

Rabbit rabbit! Another month gone by, another opportunity for navel-gazing self-evaluation. Here were my goals for April. As always, the mental health ones are redacted. TL;DR - not the best month. There were a few things that happened toward the end of the month that threw off my game quite a bit and I used those things to make excuses. Health: Vitamins are good, daily water is good, my gym attendance fell off toward the end of the month, as did the daily walks with Murphy. The ...

March Goals – how did I do?

goal page from my planner - all text explained below

On New Year’s Eve I decided not to make resolutions, but instead to make some personal goals for the year. Nothing unattainable, just some goals that I can take smaller concrete steps toward each month. Here are my goals for March, with the mental health ones redacted. Health: I drank a good amount of water almost every day. And I even packed vitamins to take to Austin with me. I made a colonoscopy screening appointment, which is the first step toward the colonoscopy. The screening ...

February Goals – how did I do?

a planner page with goals on it - all goals are written out in the post

On New Year's Eve I decided not to make resolutions, but instead to make some personal goals for the year. Nothing unattainable, just some goals that I can take smaller concrete steps toward each month. Here are my goals for February, with the mental health ones redacted. I don't blog everything. ;) Home:Clean garage - Success! I didn't mean the whole garage, just the garden table area, which I succeeded.Plant seeds - Success! I started my tomato and pepper seeds. My tomatoes are ...

Weekly tasklist

My goals for this week, scribed here so I'll always have a reminder of failing... 1) Make two doc appointments: one for the eyes and one for the neglected thyroid. About the eyes: I think I haven't had an eye appointment in 2 or 3 years. About the thyroid: I feel fine..light-years from how I felt on the levothyroxine last summer. But the worry of something being wrong is still in the back of my head. Could I feel even better than what I consider fine? I'm skipping my primary physician for ...

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
