Friday 5: Opposite Day

What? My site was down you say? No, it wasn’t! It was a great week, highlighted by going to the daytime Phillies game on Thursday with my brother John, who never reads my blog. And today I spent as much…

Friday 5: Esprit

Oh, walk 10,000 steps a day! No big! Yeah, except if you have an office job. Holy moly. See, my health/fitness/weight journey follows a sine-wave pattern. Right now, I’m in the sedentary, potato-chip-filled gully. I’m trying to turn that around….

Friday 5: Minding your Peeves and Qs

Happy Friday! You’re reading the blog of the only person in South Jersey who is thrilled that it’s been in the high 80s the last few days. I’ve been in shorts and tank tops, drinking Sam Adams Summer Ale, and…

Friday 5: Aroma

It was a bumpy readjustment coming back from Florida. On Monday, Dad and I ventured to Camp Holly for an airboat ride, which was JUST as amazing as it sounds! Camp Holly is pretty nice, with beer that flows, an…

Floridian Friday 5 on Saturday: Games People Play

Hello from RetiredLand, Florida! I’m here visiting with Dad for a bit, pretending that I’m retired, too. So far the weather’s been amazing by my standards, but chilly by Floridian standards. It snowed at home yesterday. I am SO SICK…

Friday 5: Dogs

Thursday’s post about World of Warcraft was auto-scheduled, and I’m glad because after YET ANOTHER school shooting on Wednesday, I wouldn’t have known what to write. Well, I know what has to be written, but that one’s going to take…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
