Brothers and very best friends

We’ve been having a lot of thunderstorms lately. During a particularly nasty one, the zoo was hunkered down on the sofa with me. And this happened. Yes, that’s Charlie and Ollie “holding paws” during the storm. If I could freeze…

Friday Five: Accessories

Happy Friday! The snow is melting! The temperature made it into the 50s today, which allowed me to finally walk to the library at lunch to renew my card. I really need to go there once a week. I also…

Celebrating a decade of fangs and loyalty

Max has been with me for ten years now! Three moves, three last names, and a puppy brother later, he’s still my best buddy. Max loves me and anything that I hold close to me. I love Max and hope…

The story of OllieBear

This is my dog, Ollie. He is the younger of my two dogs. He’s one of the best dogs you could ever ask for, but he’s not very bright. That’s okay. He’s perfect the way he is. When Ollie gets…

The rock-bottom blog post

A few months back, during a trip to IKEA, I had the bright idea of purchasing a pillow for Charlie to relax on. I did this because he was curling up in a pile of plastic bags that he dragged…

Introducing Chipper

(aka Chip, Chip-Chip, Microchip) He’s half beagle, half poodle – a mix that breeders call “Poobie” or “Poogle” but I call “mutt.” I think it means he’s going to end up a shaggy beagle. He’s six pounds, 9 ounces (all…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
