Show us your books: June 2018

If you’re a library patron, then you are surely familiar with the panic that occurs when you have physical books checked out, purchased ebooks waiting to be read, and THEN your holds that have been languishing for MONTHS start becoming…

Currently, rainy edition

Listening to the continuing rain. It started Saturday afternoon, but I did manage to get some time in at my personal “swim club.” The handiwork at the top right is WM’s effort to keep Murphy and Jack (the boxer living…

Happy 11th Birthday, Ollie!

Somewhere along the way I blinked and this little baguette turned 11 and has become quite an old man. Every night at 8pm we snuggle on the sofa. He has a spot on the sofa that WM calls his “dock”…

Friday 5: Esprit

Oh, walk 10,000 steps a day! No big! Yeah, except if you have an office job. Holy moly. See, my health/fitness/weight journey follows a sine-wave pattern. Right now, I’m in the sedentary, potato-chip-filled gully. I’m trying to turn that around….

Little Women: PBS Masterpiece version

Succulent birdbath garden

Back in April as I was chasing Murphy around the yard I tripped over something that turned out to be a birdbath buried underneath the ivy that covers the back third of our backyard. After some Pinterest researching, here’s what…

Friday 5: How About a Knuckle Sandwich?

Happy Friday! It was a busy week, and blogging got away from me. Sunday was Mother’s Day and I took Mom to the Phillies game. After an hour rain delay, the game started and was a lot of fun. And…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
