Friday 5: After ‘Im

Happy Friday! This time last week I was at Walt Disney World. Look at this magic! The fireworks started just as we came to the front of the line to have our picture taken. Gorgeous. SIGH. We left last Thursday…

So hey, it’s been a while. Haven’t felt like blogging. Here’s what I’ve been up to. (Clockwise from top left.) In light of recent current events on this dark timeline where we now have Supreme Court Justice Ragey McPrepbro —…

Murphy: Downward facing dog

Murphy is allowed on sofas and beds, yet he loves lying on my yoga mat. One thing’s for sure — he has savasana down pat.

Ollie: Things are looking up

His ears are clear, his gums are healed and Ollie’s back in a good season of life. When we go for walks he keeps up the pace with little effort. We’re up to three blocks, whereas in the spring he…

Murphy: A pet of his own

Not long ago I was in the yard doing crossword puzzles when I saw Murphy standing in the ivy, head in a bush, tail wagging. *wagwagwagwagwagwagwagwagwagwagwagwag* NOT a good sign. I crossed the yard. “Hey Murph! What’cha got there?” He…

My 2018-19 paper planner

text in planner - 'the face that runs the place'

This year has been a planner disaster. I have always been a huge fan of paper planners but I fell out of it late last year (remember there was a Big!Work!Project! that apparently scarred me for life) and once I…

Ollie: selfie

I captured this picture of Ollie underneath my patio chair. You can see that because his one lower fang is gone, his tongue droops out of the side of his mouth sometimes. You can’t tell when his mouth is closed,…

Show us your books: September 2018

outdoors reading

I can’t believe it’s this day again. Show Us Your Books Day! And yes, it’s also 9/11. Seventeen years ago I was an adult and watched the horror on one of the TVs at the Courier-Post while it happened. (And…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
