The British Royal Family gossip Superbowl is almost upon us!

When I was young, my grandmother used to mail us her weekly copies of the Star and Enquirer. I didn’t bother watching The Crown because I read Kitty Kelley’s book and it could get no better than that. My homeschool…

Friday 5: In with the old

Hello and huzzah from my sofa, where I am languishing with my third cold in three months. Lately I feel like if someone sneezes three houses down, I get sick. There’s some chatter in scientific circles about Covid possibly knocking…

What I want in 2023

Kim and WM, in Lego form.

It’s New Year’s Eve and I’m watching Svengoolie (don’t ask) with WM and Murphy with a belly full of (slightly stale) Christmas cookies and a heart full of warmth. It was a good year, the best this decade. 😉 What…

Twenty years of blogging!

a screenshot of the blog announcement

I loved the concept of the Internet from the first moment I learned about bulletin boards and email in college. At that time I didn’t have a real computer at home, opting instead to write my papers on a portable…

Spotify Wrapped 2022

Last year I started paying for Spotify again because I enjoy listening to its AI-generated playlists for me. I checked out my Spotify Wrapped summary for 2022 and it told me right off that bat that I listen to a…

Hey Kim! What’s been going on? Personally: In July I joined a gym, which announced its closing 6 weeks later. Then I joined another gym, which is still open. I go in 2-3 times a week and do a mix…

Friday, May 27

Happy Friday! I am off from work today and feeling peppy (for now) so let’s give the Friday 5 a quick whirl, shall we? This week’s theme is Double Stuf. While I enjoy Double Stuf Oreo, my preferred Oreo is…

Sick and tired of being sick and tired

I have been a grown-ass adult for decades now and I cannot remember a time where so many terrible events were happening in such rapid succession. There is no respite. It’s all so heavy. Current events are terrible and I…

We caught Covid.

I didn’t catch it from HersheyPark last August, or the indoor wedding that I was advised to skip in October, or from the Walt Disney World trip in January. Or from going to see a show in February, or going…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
