Good and Meh 2023: Week 37

Good Things:

Monday: Was walking Murphy and saw Mom drive by on the way to an appointment. She pulled over and gave a Very Good Boy some scritches and smooches.
Thursday: Picked a gorgeous, juicy tomato from the garden. It hasn’t been the abundant year I wanted, but the crops we’re getting are delicious.
Friday: We watched Grease 2 for Movie Night.
Saturday: It was the type of day I call “golden” – the sun takes on a different tone of light through the year and during August-September it is lustrous. Anyway, the sun was golden and the temperature was in the high 70s.
Sunday: Got the new Covid booster! Fingers crossed I don’t feel terrible tomorrow.

Tall trees, green grass, walking path, a cloudless sky
I went into Philly for a meeting on Thursday. On the way back to the train I walked through Rittenhouse Square and pretended that I was a rich person who had nowhere to be at 1:30pm.
Meh Things:

Wednesday: A happy hour networking event I had signed up to go to (and sort of helped plan) was cancelled due to lack of interest. Booo.
And I’m always sore anymore. It’s not life-altering, but it’s just always lurking in the background. I’m currently in a phase where both feet hurt, but each for a different reason. I have pain in the back of my left foot, and a recurrence of plantar fasciitis in my right. The PF I know how to deal with, but it just takes time. The other condition stymies me, so next month I’m seeing a podiatrist.

Three cheers for more good than meh last week!

I am definitely in a random pains phase of life

I was in Old City yesterday.

I think most networking things have gone by the wayside.

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
