My Resist Kit

I mentioned before the steps that I am taking to become more involved. Two of those actions were phone calls and writing postcards. Here’s where I’m at… I’m still using the Action Checklist for Americans of Conscience to guide my…

Happy Sunday! Yesterday Mom and I had the honor of escorting Nephew A to an Easter Egg Hunt at Paws Discovery Farm. It was an all-day event and the staff replenished the eggs regularly, making for a bunch of thrilled…

Ollie + Murphy + Chewy = LOVE

(I initially typed “Max” up there. Sniff.) This isn’t a sponsored post* at all. I just wanted to put out there how happy I have been with Chewy and the amazing customer service they provide. Ollie eats special food because…

Stupid Sewing Tricks: Blanket for Nephew B

The Pinterest pin said it would take 30 minutes. It took three hours. But! It looks and feels like a baby blanket and I’m told newborn eyesight isn’t that good so it’ll be a while before he can grab a…

Currently, bracket-busting version

Hoping: Villanova takes it all. My brother runs our NCAA pool every year, and I’m in the thick of it. Reading: The magazines piled up on my table. O, Martha Stewart, and Clean Living, which cost $5 for a subscription…

Friday 5: Mist It by That Much

We have a new nephew! For blog purposes, he is Nephew B, and his older brother is Nephew A. It works out really well that way. The lovely Kristen is doing well and my brother doesn’t read my blog anyway…

Stupid Sewing Tricks: Mickey Mouse Pillow

You KNOW when I saw a Steamboat Willie remnant in the pile at Jo-Ann that I couldn’t walk on by, right? I aimed for an 18 inch square pillow and it ended up … not that. I have very real…

Friday 5: Aroma

It was a bumpy readjustment coming back from Florida. On Monday, Dad and I ventured to Camp Holly for an airboat ride, which was JUST as amazing as it sounds! Camp Holly is pretty nice, with beer that flows, an…

Floridian Friday 5 on Saturday: Games People Play

Hello from RetiredLand, Florida! I’m here visiting with Dad for a bit, pretending that I’m retired, too. So far the weather’s been amazing by my standards, but chilly by Floridian standards. It snowed at home yesterday. I am SO SICK…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
