Sunday 5: Let’s get physical

One of the myriad reasons I’m not a book deal blogger is because if someone tells me not to blog something, I don’t. Otherwise I’d have so many delightful stories.

Suffice it to say there’s been a bit of a cloud hanging over us for the last 2 months. Work is busy and I can’t seem to catch up.

This dingus turned 6 months old on July 15 and already is Ollie’s size!
Life is stressy. I haven’t been to the beach yet this summer and the way things are going, I probably won’t. Virginia Beach isn’t happening — we cancelled it in favor of another trip that also isn’t happening. And WWE Battleground is in Philly tonight and I’m not there. Boo! Hiss! Blah!

***

So lets pretend its Friday, and I’m not failing at everything. This is the Friday 5, and the theme is Let’s Get Physical.

1. How confidently could you turn a cartwheel right now?

Not, since I never was able to turn a cartwheel. Even as a skinny kid, I never could figure out where to put my arms and legs to make it work. Yes, I was a developmental gym kid.

2. How (physically) flexible are you?

I’d say I am more flexible than you’d think I would be for my age. I still dabble in yoga. I wish I was this flexible though.

3. How are your Frisbee-throwing skills?

I have a pretty decent frisbee throw. Murphy is shaping up to be quite a little frisbee dog, unlike beloved dogs that shall remain nameless.

4. Which carnival game do you have the best shot at winning?

I am VERY good at the competitive ones. My favorite one is the squirt gun one, where you shoot the water into the clown’s mouth to blow up a balloon. All that requires is a steady hand. It also helps if you play against children.

5. How good are you at toss-the-paper-in-the-wastebasket?

I have a 50% success rate.

Tomorrow is my work from home day, so I’ll wake up with my fingers crossed that I can re-reboot and get rid of this cloud.

Fancy #coffee Friday, an attempt to salvage my week.

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
