Crazy work-day yesterday, topped off by the fact that I managed to leave my briefcase home! Mind you, my briefcase contains my red binder of management goodness, which contains every single thing I’ve learned on the job since December. Surprisingly, it has stuff in it.
As I teased in the prior entry, Charlie (cat) is getting more comfortable in the house. At first, he only appeared at night. After I turned out the lights and crawled into bed, he’d leap on the bed with a thud, stayed for a few pets, and disappeared just as quickly.
So we started referring to him as “The Kitty of the Lamp” – as in “I will grant you three skritches.”
Lately though, we’ve come across him in the middle of the hallway, absolutely terror-stricken at the certain danger that lurks around the corner.
As soon as you take a step toward him, he’d run for his life. Misty, who lay on her back in the middle of the living room as if she was expecting you to serve her peeled grapes, gives him a look that makes you happy cats can’t roll their eyes. Misty’s eyes would be perpetually rolled.
Well, time to take on the day. Enjoy yours!
