WDW 2022 trip: What we did not like

two dorks in the rain

There are 3 kinds of Disney Parks fans. The first group will never criticize a thing. The second group hates everything that has been added since 1980. The third group, the more centrist group, can love many things and still…

WDW 2022 trip: what we liked

Cinderella castle lit up at night

We indeed made it to Walt Disney World and ooo what a balm to the soul it was, even with weird (and mostly justified) Covid-19 protocols. And most of the thrill was likely of the ‘holy crap we’re HERE!’ variety,…

If your heart is in your dreams

I thought I’d be polite and tell you about the ‘guess where I am’ images posted during my Memorial Day Disney weekend. 1) The seat upholstery on Disney’s Magical Express busses. For the 50th anniversary celebration, Disney will now take…

Waaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!

All good things must come to an end. Thor and I toasted our most excellent vacation. Tonight we bandage our bloody stumps once called feet. Tomorrow we start chopping out the bushes in our front yard in a (futile) quest…

Disney? Commercial? Never!

A Disney popcorn popper. Wow. Just…wow. We’re currently back at the hotel waiting out some storms that are blowing through. Tonight we have (yet another) priority seating at ‘Ohana. All you can eat meat. Brought to you on skewers by…

Anniversary!

Total surprise. We were getting to leave for our Segway tour of Epcot’s World Showcase when Thor popped this box out of his pocket. Six diamonds plus eight sapphires (my birthstone) make for one puddly Gypsy. We were the first…

Aflac!

Overheard outside my door at 7:30am: QUAAAAAAACK! QUAAAAAAAAAAAACK! Apparently Hitchcock is staying directly above us and was feeding the ducks again. Now the ducks are camping out on our patio…waiting. Yesterday we went to Disney/MGM studios. We rode the usual…

Cloudy but magical!

We travelled well despite the 30 minute delay in taking off. Thor and I slept most of the flight. We arrived at the Polynesian at 11:30ish. My dinner was a piece of chocolate cake and some chocolate milk. I love…

October 22, 2003 – from WDW

Aloha! Blogging LIVE from the Polynesian again (where I’m supposed to be grabbing breakfast for David and more cold meds for me.) Another sunny 80+ degree day ahead. If it weren’t for my battle w/the sniffles/coughles I’d call this a…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
