My 2025 Vision Board

a image of a bunch of photos pinned to a corkboard, in the middle is Vision Board 2025

Yes, I’ve succumbed to the woo and created a vision board for 2025. It’s also a good way to learn Canva. I chose to go with an old-school corkboard feel with photos pinned to it. Starting from the upper left:…

August: Personal and Work Goals

kim in her hammock with her hair in a towel and a face mask on

Rabbit rabbit! And just like that it’s August. I’ve been unmotivated to write (just unmotivated, period) and it has a lot to do with the narrative around childless women not having a stake in society. The predictable defense is “oh…

The 2023 goal review and goals for 2024

The 2023 planner and the 2024 planner inserts.

On January 31, 2022 I made some goals for 2023. Let’s see how it all shook out. 2023 Misses: Home: The garden wasn’t great, which I’m blaming on weather and the smoky air in June. I didn’t find a concrete…

May & June Goals – how did I do?

planner pages for May and June

Terrible, which is why I’m burying this mid-July. I’m drinking water and taking vitamins and making every excuse ever to avoid the gym, even when I see the charge hit my card. NEXT WEEK. I go back NEXT WEEK or…

April Goals – how did I do?

April goal page from planner - everything explained in text below.

Rabbit rabbit! Another month gone by, another opportunity for navel-gazing self-evaluation. Here were my goals for April. As always, the mental health ones are redacted. TL;DR – not the best month. There were a few things that happened toward the…

March Goals – how did I do?

goal page from my planner - all text explained below

On New Year’s Eve I decided not to make resolutions, but instead to make some personal goals for the year. Nothing unattainable, just some goals that I can take smaller concrete steps toward each month. Here are my goals for…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
