Friday 5: More questions about our favorite topic

friday, september 1

Rabbit rabbit! Happy September, which, blah. Even though it continues to be actual, official summer through September 22, I am trying to switch myself into an autumnal mindset. Today is also National Forgiveness Day (I forgive, I do not forget),…

An easy peanut brittle recipe

a bowl of peanut brittle, with Remy and Emil figurines watching approvingly

Peanut brittle is a ‘fancy’ candy I remember from my childhood but I don’t see it around much anymore. Occasionally I will make peanut brittle for friends (and us) to enjoy. I think candy can be something that’s very daunting…

Good and Meh: Week 34

Hey, not every blog post is a substack-quality work of art, okay? Good things: Monday: I went to the Phillies game with Mom & John and they won 10-4. Not only did they win, but we saw Bryce Harper hit…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
