friday december 15

Happy Friday, which is also National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day, National Wear Your Pearls Day, and my Aunt Carol’s birthday. I had a half-day today, because WM and I went to see a matinee of a Very Philly Christmas at the Kimmel Center. It was a lot of fun and even featured a cameo by […]

Kim’s Favorite Things 2023

December 12, 2023 by Kimberly

Cloth and Paper planner, Lamy pen, mug warmer.

I used to live for Oprah’s favorite things magazine issue until she licensed it to Amazon and everybody was getting the list before my little ol’ issue of O magazine even arrived in the mail. Now it’s back on her own website but with affiliate links to Amazon, but I also don’t want to spend […]

Good and Meh 2023 Week 49

December 11, 2023 by Kimberly

Murphy and a cranberry sauce themed dog toy.

Good Things: It was such a social week! Sunday: Started making dough for Christmas cookies.Monday: MASAE’s year-end meeting was a success! Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
