Friday 5: Every Family Has One

It was a great week! The beginning was rough because who knew if President 45 was going to be on his best behavior and leave on time and without, you know, war. But he did. The inauguration filled me with…

Friday 5 and Happy Birthday Murphy

Today this noble knob turns 4. In his 4th year, Murphy learned compassion. If one of us is sick or blue, Murphy is RIGHT THERE. Lying on top of our chests when we’re burning with fever. Licking our faces as…

Covid-19 Journal: January 2021

As predicted, US cases are surging because people continue to put their own personal freedoms ahead of public health. We’re at 393,000, which is more than the current population of New Orleans. This, which was unfathomable 8 months ago, is…

Show Us Your Books January 2021

It feels so nice to write 2021. Even if things are … more of the same. I’m starting to say, “hey self, stop doomscrolling on your phone at nights and maybe read some of these books? Hm?” I read four…

Friday 5: Watching my Figure

Lemme tell ya, working 5 days straight after being off for eleven days is for the birds. Even if I don’t have to commute anymore. I closed my laptop as soon as the clock hit 4:30pm. I am still cranked…

I never thought I’d blog about an attempted coup but HERE WE ARE…

One of the things blogging software lets you do is schedule posts in advance. Like, yesterday’s Cricut post. I wrote it on Tuesday and tossed it in the queue so it would show up yesterday morning. In umpty years from…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
