Office MacGyver

Since having moved from my dee-luxe-apartment-in-the-sky-office to a cube that’s only a few inches wider than my wingspan, I’ve found the need to get rid of a lot of junk. One day I found this charming artifact from pre-internet times…

Apologies to Hallmark and Lifetime TV

You’ve surely seen the newest diamond conglomerate ‘style’ — the Journey collection. The diamonds start small at the top of the pendant and they grow as your Love grows through your life’s journey together. (vomit break) (wiping her lips) Ahem…so…

Cellphone: Saved 43%

In January, I took a long hard look at my finances and realized I was spending money in the wrong places. So I made some changes, and today I saw my first positive effect of what I’ve been calling “The…

It was quite a lovely weekend! (waits a few for the shock to die down) Friday I ended up going to happy hour with a group from work. I hadn’t gone in the longest time, and I had a ball….

night

I still wear the ring I got for the 8th anniversary. Sometimes at night if I’m lonely I slide it on my left ring finger so I can remember what it felt like to be married.

Life hates me

This little beauty was in my mailbox this morning. Apparently, I’m not making “the most of life over 50.” AARP CARD!?!?! I called them this morning and asked to be removed from their list of evil fear-mongering.

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
