Bless me Internet, for I live in sin

Yeeeeeeah. So it’s been a while. And there’s a 500-lb elephant sitting in the middle of my blog that I have to acknowledge. The Wandering Minstrel (who is much cuter than a 500-lb elephant) has moved out here to NJ….

LadyGypsy versus the ants, Part 2

When we last visited this saga, Pest Control was coming. They came. They left. The ants returned. They’re coming in from the outside through my heater/air conditioner, climbing up my computer table and walking across my computer desk. They wave…

School days, school days

This week I’m taking a “Fundamentals of SQL” class at the local branch of our County College. I’m a bit nervous, because it’s out of my educational comfort zone (which solely entails listening to Coffee Break Spanish and TechTV podcasts)….

Peek-a-boo!

Multimedia message I love the rear view mirror I have on my monitor! It keeps me from being ambushed by the coworkers. Unless they come up via my blind spot. Edited to add: I bought it from these guys. Speedy…

Serenity…not!

I sent Serenity back today without finishing it. Why? Because I fell asleep through it. Twice. So yeah, the Alliance is actually a bunch of bad guys, the robbers are actually good guys, and the chick with a hole in…

In the Kitchen with LadyGypsy*

Years ago, I was constantly sick. Colds, ear infections, croup, you name it, I had it. In Kindergarten, we had milk with our cookies for snacks. Milk always seemed to add to my congestion, so Mom used to send me…

A tour of Calliope

Calliope is my iPod…I got her for Christmas. Calliope comes to work with me every day and helps me to stay focused on my tasks as opposed to having my brain waves interrupted by the cacophony around me. Seriously, there…

I grew up in a hotbed of terror

Who knew? Yes, the Cherry Hill where the suspected terrorists lived is the same Cherry Hill where I grew up and the same Cherry Hill where I lived when I was married. Oh, and the same Cherry Hill where I…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
