Monday lunch

Wt: 158.4. Damnation.

Today I spent lunch at my own desk, people be damned. I worked through 40 minutes of it, though. Oh well.

In the 20 minutes I used to rest my brain, I managed to find 3 of my late grandparents’ houses* on Google Maps. The houses themselves I remember fondly. Unfortunately, the details of each house escape me. I stare at the satellite images and wonder, “Was it on THAT side of the street?” “Is the Google pointer wrong?” “Did we make a left to get there?”. It’s odd, and a bit macabre.

I also found this cosmetic kit which I desire muchly, since it’s very apt. I was snookered in by these eye shadow kits especially for blue eyes at Target this weekend. But…the shadow’s blue. And I could swear that blue eyed girls are never supposed to wear blue eyeshadow. I bought one eye shadow kit and the mascara and this morning decided I wanted the world to see my baby blues.

The result? Coworker Damon (not to be confused with the millllions of other Damons in the world) asked me if I was sunburned. Weird.

Anyway, nose back to the grindstone. I have deemed Mondays to be “Report Mondays” wherein I try to complete every report that I’ll have to do for the entire week in one day.

Two weeks from right now, I’ll be on my way to Las Vegas. And Sinatra’s on the iPod. Life is good. 🙂

*Like most, I had 4 grandparents – 2 of each gender. Both marriages were split up by the time I was born. Three were cool, the fourth wanted nothing to do with us. So I didn’t bother trying to find his house. Because I have no idea where he lived. 😉

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
