November 7, 2003 – morning

Wt: 145.2 Wha??????
Mood: (still in shock from weight)
Work docket: Hot Properties and various sundry things. Damon’s out today and Monday.
Lunch: Lunch with Erin at Cherry Hill mall, wherein I shall eat a Subway veggie sub, WOW chips and a diet Pepsi.
Afternoon: Take Max for rousing walk.
Evening: To the GYM! I mean it…I will NOT NOT NOT NOT get back to 150.
Weekend: I am planless.

And now the Friday Five!

1. What food do you like that most people hate?
Not sure if people hate it, but I enjoy eating raw potatoes.

2. What food do you hate that most people love?
Sushi. It’s RAW! You can wrap it as tightly as you can with rice and stuff, but in the middle there’s nothing but squish. Ew.

3. What famous person, whom many people may find attractive, is most unappealing to you?
I know this is maligning the dead, but I found nothing appealing about John F. Kennedy Jr. Junior always had that “I’m too good for you” swagger to him, even though he was constantly portrayed as just a regular guy.

4. What famous person, whom many people may find unappealing, do you find
attractive?

Tough question. I do know that, of late, my taste has shifted from ‘boys’ to ‘men.’ I’ve always found David Letterman appealing. So I’ll let that be my answer. (Note to David Letterman: Thank you for naming your kid after your dad and nothing weird like “Plush” or “Cubicle” or “Montana.”)

5. What popular trend baffles you?
Young girls wearing pajama pants and slippers out. “Yeah, like the world is sooooo lame that it’s not even worth changing out of my pjs to go to the mall. Mommy, I need a ride. NOW.”

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
