My relaunch

Yes, I'm up very late. Why? Because I was out of work sick today and managed to snooze away a chunk of my afternoon. Actually, I've been sick for about 2 weeks straight - 2 different illnesses but consecutive sentences - and it finally all caught up to me today. Par for the course for my worst summer ever. I'm not feeling guilty about staying home either, but that may be because of my check-work-email-every-3-hours plan. I even responded to a few. But I'm awake (albeit tucked into bed with a ...

Half moon

Half moonI went to yoga tonight at the YMCA. The instructor I used to have no longer teaches this class. She was a lady in her sixties or so, wore a cute little black t-shirt that said "Yoga," and had the voice of a lifelong smoker. One of her students recently received her yoga instructor certification and is now our teacher. I like her. She works us a skosh harder than the prior one did. However, she's big on props. Balls, bolsters, bands, etc. I've been away from yoga for a bit, so I want to ...

Still alive

I'm still alive, and I have pictures of the new baseball park. But I've had three terribly long days...and a stressy one tomorrow as well. So I'm off to bed.BTW, I'm officially a student of yoga again. Baby steps. ...

Dave Matthews Band, I'm such a fool for you. Yesterday I purchased the 3-CD "Central Park Concert" set from Sam Goody. (Only $13.99, which blew me away. I was expecting at least $20.00. Could this be the RIAA trying to play nice?) It's 3 hours of live music. All songs I've heard from you before (except Cortez the Killer, which I never even HEARD of before). Yet I eagerly lapped it up anyway. Why? Because I buy every album. Even the live ones of concerts I haven't seen where you sing songs I've ...

Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you, if you're young at Heart...Happy October! The site is pink in honor of breast cancer awareness month. Which has nothing to do with the Heart Walk fundraising that we're doing. Yesterday we reached our goal (Thank you, Papa T--!) but if you still want to donate, of course there's time! :)Yesterday was a bunch of nothing. I'm learning how to do the weekly and monthly financial reports for the department. I'd say I'm being groomed for another ...

February 26 2003 – evening

Well, Dierdre the Pain is now specialized in Mana conversion and War Magic. Which means nothing to you, I know, but it's taken me over two months to achieve this. Five more skill credits until I get lockpick back. :)Yoga was wonderful, although difficult to get back into. But for only $27 (we're full members) it's a great deal. I struggled a bit with some of the poses. Maybe next week I'll remember to breathe. Ya gotta breathe, you know. I'm going to try to get to work early tomorrow (I know...I ...

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
