Return of the Mac

Early last week, the lovely Kristen sent me a link to an event on Facebook – Return of the Mac. Joey McIntyre from NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK WAS COMING TO MY TOWN FOR A MEET AND GREET! He’s promoting…

I love all of your worst bands and I don't care.

An article has been making the rounds on my Facebook friends’ walls -LA Weekly’s Top 20 Worst Bands of All Time. (Google it if you want.) My friends are delightful and smart people so I have no idea why they’re…

Mariah can still sing

Putting aside the butterflies, Glitter and #dembabies weirdness, Mariah Carey still has a good set of pipes on her. She missed a note or two, and the range has changed a bit, but it’s nice to hear her unprocessed. (and…

The Muppets and CeeLo Green: All I Need is Love

You might not think you’ll like this…but this video is just awesome. It’s obvious (to me, anyway) that the Muppets are in the hands of people who grew up with the Muppets and care about them. And no, not Disney…

This was in my head this morning. You’re welcome!

Walk off The Earth

You know them as “the five people on one guitar singing that song from Gotye” and while that’s true, they have a whole YouTube full of fun songs. From dusk until dawn, singing my song… Happy Monday!

"The Big Game" Halftime thoughts

I may have blogged about this before, but I love how the NFL completely shot itself in the foot about using the name of its championship game without paying to. What does the rest of the world do? Just refer…

Do you hear what I hear?

If you are Christmas-minded, I have three Spotify playlists that I have been using to get myself through the mind-numbing data entry circle of hell that my formerly delightful creative and interactive job has become: Secular, for those who Deck…

Killer playlist – 'pop' quiz

I was in a certain type of retail store this weekend. Here are a few of the songs I heard played on the overhead system: “All By Myself” – Eric Carmen “Coming out of the Dark” – Gloria Estefan “Have…

Dear Sir Paul

I know you’re having a tough time of it lately, with the divorce and the child custody issues and turning 65. But…what are you “going for” with this promo photo? Cutesy-wutsey insecure boy? It’s cold and the wolves are after…

Say Goodbye

Dear Dave Matthews Band, Wow. I’ve been your willing audio slave for over 4 years now. Imagine that! We’ve been through 4 concerts and countless new CDs. You release a CD every few months now — most of them live…

Well met, Mr. Shady.

(via Drudge) SIR BOB GELDOF – EMINEM IGNORED BONOS LIVE 8 CALLS I think it’s good for an I-can-save-the-world ego to be snubbed once in a while. GWB had lunch w/Bono. Em didn’t even return his calls. Bwah!

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
