The Feeling Up of the Green

Email conversation, today: Me: I’m trying to remember – do I have dumb St. Patty’s day things to wear tomorrow? WM: Hrm. Not sure. You could always hit up Spencers or Target for props. Me: Ugh. Not Spencers. I’d get…

New Year, same me

Well, hello, Blog! (nervous laugh). Happy New Year! I’ve become a subscriber to Better Homes & Gardens magazine. That seems odd since I have neither a home nor a garden, but a one-year subscription was offered to me at $5….

Birthday dinner

No, not mine! My cousin’s! For the last 5 years, my mom, aunt, two cousins and I have gone out to dinner for each of our birthdays. This past Friday, we ate at Wolfgang Puck’s American Grille in the Borgata…

April Fool!

I do the flipped-page every year. Still makes me chuckle. Must be my senior-citizen humor. Happy April! Edited to add: This year’s page. Last year’s page.

Wanna bowl with the gangstas

I hope everyone had a great Chrismukkah. Among many other fabu things (will do a brag post later), I received a video iPod! Since Sirensong died 2 weeks ago, I was ecstatic. I christened this iPod “Calliope.” Because it just…

"I'm cude! She thinks I'm cude!"*

From my cell phone! Multimedia message Today was our “Holiday” luncheon. With the Christmas sweater and the antlers I think I’m turning into an old woman far before my time. Not the blinky-nose though. That’s just bad-ass. Note the Montain…

America's Saddest Christmas Tree no more?

A little love is all it needed, apparently. Still looking for a tree skirt, and my tree topper’s on its way in the mail. I’m setting up my Department 56 village on the windowsill — it’s really shaping up. I’m…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
