The Frazzleds at Walt Disney World

Years ago while I was still at the C-P, I sketched a self-portrait at work. As you can see, my artistic skills are second to none. I named her Frazzled Kim and stuck her on my computer monitor. A few…

The Number of the Mouse

We have a trip to Walt Disney World coming up, and I gotta tell ya, Disney’s spending mucho bucks in order to track how many churros I consume in a five-day period. Our room keys, park passes and FastPass+es are/will…

Throwback Thursday: The first Walt Disney World souvenir

In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, I’ve been digging through my memory box – a literal box – of things I’ve accumulated on my journey from miss to ma’am. I have a lot of Disney merchandise hanging around. From the…

Disney's new Mickey Mouse Shorts.

Are here! Okay, not really. Disney has come out with a new line of Mickey Mouse short cartoons. To me, the stories and animation are reminiscent of old-timey Mickey, who was a bit madcap and a little bit edgy. Here’s…

Do not buy me this.

As a matter of fact, don’t buy this for ANYBODY! This is the first installment in a series of Eagles-branded, Disney-branded salt and pepper shakers. In later installments, Goofy is the coach, Donald’s dropping the n-word and Pluto is buried…

Purses for fall and winter

(aka: more proof I am not a fashion blogger) Now that sucky fall is upon us with its dead leaves, cold soaking rains* and the rise of the Pumpkin Cabal, it’s time for me to change out the handbags. Some…

Mickey kitchen duds

As you may suspect, we have quite a few Disney touches in our Dee-luxe apartment in the sky. Most of them are pretty subtle. These are hanging on the wall in the kitchen… And these are on the other side….

Friday Disney dreaming

While I severely scaled back the amount of personal stuff I have here at TNP, I still have to have my Disney. And as the Boss has nicknamed me “Mousketeer,” I think my little touches have been noticed.

Puzzling behavior

I grew up doing puzzles every summer. We’d keep a puzzle on the kitchen table and add to it as we passed back and forth. Then, my family being who we are, we’d keep a tally how many pieces each…

Christmas Decor in our Dee-luxe Apartment in the Sky

As we wrestled the Christmas decorations into place I came to the sad realization that I HATE decorating for Christmas. There. I said it. I love the final product, and I won’t STOP decorating, but GRAR it’s a pain! In…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
