Happy Friday, Friends! Today is the Friday after TNP’s holiday party, National Ambrosia Day (yum!) and National Ding-a-Ling Day (hey John!).

It’s also the final workday of a really nice workweek! On Tuesday I went to yoga class and we had a whole segment of sun salutations, my favorite flow. On Wednesday I had dinner with Mom, Aunt C and cousin R. I had linguine and seafood in white sauce and life was good.
And as I mentioned, yesterday was TNP’s holiday party at F1 Arcade in Philadelphia. It was a lot of fun. We also had a cookie exchange. I baked Lemon Crinkle Cookies (but did it really happen if I didn’t photograph it for socials?) and received a decadent assortment of cookies in return. After the party we stopped into Barcade and then some of us peeled off to see the Wanamaker Light Show (mentioned in last week’s mug post).
This evening, I am pooped.
So let’s slide into the Friday 5! This week’s theme is Superlatives Part 1. Let’s go!
- What’s the best film (new or old) you saw for the first time in 2025?
I really enjoyed K-Pop Demon Hunters. The animation was amazing, the storyline was fun, and the music was great. - What’s the best thing you read (not necessarily a book!) in 2025?
November’s NJ gubernatorial race results. - What’s the best meal you consumed in 2025?
Chicken parm with a side of pasta. It’s the GOAT. - What was the best day (so far) of 2025?
This is a really difficult one. I’ve had a lot of fantastic days this year. Let’s go with Monday, March 3 when WM and I spent the evening at Disney’s California Adventure. We were in Cars Land and the neon signs were lighting up. You may be like, “Kim, it’s a theme park” but it was one of those moments where my heart was full of love and gratitude. You had to be there and you had to be me. - Which of your 2025 accomplishments are you proudest of?
I am the strongest and fittest I’ve been in years, and while I have a bit to go, it wasn’t easy to get here. Some good news: Planet Fitness is going to open a new gym five minutes away from me (in the same shopping center as Esporta) and I’m so excited to NOT have to add a half-hour of travel onto a workout. And I’m a Black Card Member — which was still less expensive than Esporta — so I also won’t feel too rushed to skip the massage chair.
And this year, I not only returned to yoga after my shoulder injury, but I returned to an in-person yoga class AND I re-signed up through spring.
This weekend I’m going to start wrapping gifts, plan the Christmas Eve dinner menu, and watch a cheesy Hallmark movie. I haven’t watched any yet this year!
See you next week!

I’m glad I’m not alone in my answer to #1!! Congrats on the fitness… that’s amazing!!
