Still bopping along with blog prompts to get me through my season of malaise, which is either lifting or I’m becoming accustomed to it.
This one is “what kind of music do you love to listen to in summer?”
I have three genres of summer music:
- Jimmy Buffett & what I think of as the Buffetverse (beach music, tropical music, and the country-adjacent beach songs)
- Lo-fi, which is my default work soundtrack and gets 100% credit for helping me get through the thick part of Covid and studying for my CAE exam
- “Songs of the Summer” artists which this year is Sabrina Carpenter, Chappel Roan and Shaboozey.
And in “time flies” news, December will be the third year since I sat for the CAE exam so I had to renew my credential. I had to earn 40 CAE credits in the past 3 years, which I accomplished by February of this year.
Tonight we were supposed to go to a free Everclear concert as part of the county’s free summer concert series but since it’s been raining for days and will be raining for days the show was cancelled until next Saturday.
Lunchtime’s over – back to work!
