My weight finally moved. Dropped 1.4 from yesterday, which makes it down 2.4 from the pre-Atkins total and 7.4 down from what I started at when I started dieting before Atkins.
Oh heck, not like I haven’t shared this all before: Was 165 at the start, 160 at the start of Atkins, and am now 157.5. Remember when I was in the 130’s? I do too. Ah, hubris. Reading that post reminds me never to be cocky about weight again. At the very least, I put the breaks on before I surpassed my all-time high weight.
New readers: It’s all below the waist. “Little in the middle but she’s got much back.”
Last night for dinner I cooked 2 thin Steakumm-type steaks, added a slice of American Cheese, 3 slices of pepperoni and a smidge of my 1-gram-of-carbs ketchup and wrapped it in a low-carb tortilla.
And Oh. My. God. It was the second-best darn thing I had eaten in WEEKS. I’d have taken a photo of it, but something of that taste deserves to be taken to Sears Portrait Studio, sat upon astroturf and photographed with a delightful background.
And STILL more food news: The first Wegmans in my sort-of-area opens today. Dork that I am, I’m making Mom go scout it out with me this afternoon. Don’t really know why…it’s too far to shop from, and I can’t eat any of the really cute stuff yet. But it’s a cultural experience. Or as close to cultural as I get these days.
Off to make some lunch. Yes…scrambled eggs with KETCHUP! Bwah!

Simplest “carb” – a monosaccaride like glucose…

…but I ain’t no chemist, so don;t ask me to go much further!

Congrats on the loss. Jury’s out over here on low carb ketchup – some things are just meant to have carbs.
