Landline review & back to school

Landline by Rainbow Rowell My rating: 3 of 5 stars Georgie is our protagonist, a television writer and an all-around irresponsible flake. Neal is her husband, steady rock, and stay-at-home dad to their two daughters: Alice and Noomi. Georgie’s job…

Friday Five: Accessories

Happy Friday! The snow is melting! The temperature made it into the 50s today, which allowed me to finally walk to the library at lunch to renew my card. I really need to go there once a week. I also…

Holding pattern

My job at TNP entitles me to a free Philadelphia Library Card! I’ve only been there in person once, but once I mastered the eBook borrowing learning curve, I’m having a great time borrowing eBooks. Here’s my list of holds:…

Loving my nook!

Just in case you have a reader on your gift list and are on the fence about e-readers: I love my book! It’s the plain e-ink original version — not the fancy color tablets — and it goes with me…

The heck?

Okay. So it’s 3am and I’m blogging. In 45 minutes a Rapid Rover will shuttle me to the airport and I’ll be flying down to Dixieland (while dodging a tropical storm, a hurricane, and an orange alert, woohoo!) to tend…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
