Holy crap I’ve been Gutenberged

It’s been a while. I know. I’m popping in here tonight to give an update on what’s been going on as well as to try WordPress 5.0, which changed up its whole writing experience with an editor called Gutenberg.  I…

Away again

From my Treo! Yours truly at the Borgata. Time for another yearly retreat at the Borgata in Atlantic City. Yay. The Oregon trip was too short, and fantastic. It’s so cool getting together with people who understand that my dagger…

The Meeting.

I was fired today. Ha! I kid. Nah. Wasn’t that bad. Wasn’t my greatest performance to date, but I muddled through. Gambling-wise, I’m about $80 down…which I’ll either wake at 4am and try to make back, or just call it…

After-school special

On any trip to an Atlantic City casino, you gain increased exposure to what I insensitively call the “wheelchair and oxygen” crowd. The senior citizens. The oldsters. Spending the money that’s deducted from my paycheck each week. They are slow….

Hard eight

As per Mom’s wishes, this afternoon was spent at the Borgata. Again. (The gambling gene runs straight up my Mom’s branch of the family tree…we are unrepentant.) I had a twenty dollar bill to play with. I was going to…

Thunderous Thursday!!!

(remember, exciting fake stuff is in pink and the truth is in black.) I wore my pedometer all day today. It’s recommended that an adult take 10,000 steps per day — which roughly translates to 5 miles. Today’s grand total?…

Peggy Sue goes to Atlantic City

“Let’s go to New York for the weekend,” Thor said to me this morning as I tried to fight the idea of morning. Remember, he was chipper from just coming home from work. “Mmm…” I replied. “It’s supposed to be…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
