Friday 5: Ladies and Gentlemen, take my advice

Happy Friday, which is also National Only Child Day (no comment), National Grilled Cheese Day, and day 0 of TNP’s Annual Conference in San Diego. Day 0 is our term for the day the pre-conference courses occur. The big shindig actually starts tomorrow. I arrived yesterday afternoon and I’m currently in a hotel room.

Okay, that’s a lie. I’m currently at home on a Wednesday evening typing the beginning and ending of this post out on my home PC to save myself from tapping the entirety of this post out on my phone. I have my work laptop with me, but I don’t blog on that. I fly out from Philadelphia tomorrow (Thursday) and really should be finishing my packing.

Anyway, here’s the Friday 5. This week’s theme is . Apologies in advance for fat-thumbed typos, this part is being written by Friday night me while slumped in bed. Hopefully I had a good dinner.

Hello from Friday me. I did have fantastic tacos last night but tonight I was tired and wisely chose to stay in. I ordered food to go from a restaurant here in the hotel and am indeed writing this while slumped in bed.

Here’s the Friday 5! This week’s theme is Ladies and Gentlemen, take my advice.

  1. What is your favorite shape for ice in a beverage? I am a fan of the round ice cubes. I have a mold but can’t perfect it.
  2. When did you last apply ice (or something functioning similarly) to your body? A few weeks ago for my stupid foot.
  3. What was the occasion for your most recently toting something with ice in a cooler? Probably my last trip to the shore. So, August? I can’t wait for summer.
  4. What is the iciest movie you’ve seen? Frozen.
  5. What are some good songs with “ice” in the title or lyrics? The winner is the Heat Miser/Snow Miser song and I will not consider anything else.

Back to Wednesday night me! I hope that Thursday-Monday me takes some pretty photos to post. I haven’t been to San Diego since … 2005? There won’t be much time for sightseeing but my fingers and toes are crossed I get to see a sunset.

      It’s obviously the best choice.

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
