Friday 5: The other shoe

Happy Friday, which is also National Date Nut Bread Day and Forefathers Day. And that’s it. Usually there are 6-8 “National Days” each Friday and I have to narrow it down to two for the blog. I guess no PR person wants their National Day to compete with Christmas.

friday, december 22

I am tired and sulky at the moment and I’m in the middle of baking cookies so let’s just get to the Friday 5 questions. This week’s theme is The other shoe.

  1. When did you most recently drop the ball?
I should have started baking these damn cookies earlier in the week but I went out to dinner on Wednesday AND Thursday so here I am. Every year I say I’m not baking anymore because who the hell cares and every year I’m still baking.
  2. Who last dropped you a line or dropped by?
I have a wonderful pen pal in Louisiana who writes regularly.
  3. How do you feel about raindrops falling on your head?
I enjoy walking in light rain as long as I know where I am and can take my glasses off. I hate raindrops on my glasses.
  4. When did you memorably deliver a mic drop moment?
I have no idea! I have been racking my brain and can’t come up with any.
  5. Whom have you recently discovered to be drop-dead gorgeous?
Zendaya. She’s so so so pretty and funny and I love her and her little boyfriend together.

Zendaya is adorable, and so is Tom. I agree with you there. And I feel you on the baking. I’m finally getting to it today. This after I, once again, swore I wasn’t going to bother. It is what it is!

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
