I need to stop laughing at this.

Stephen Hawking is going to take a zero-gravity flight I am going to hell because I cannot stop laughing at the various scenarios playing in my mind. If he can’t move, what makes him different than one of the potato…

QPwC

I watched SuperSize Me last week, via Netflix. It was a great, great movie. I was completely horrified at the effects that McDonald’s food had on Morgan Spurlock. (Who is very cute in an intellectual way.) But I have to…

Yeah…I think I'll keep you around

I just renewed kimberussell.com for 2 more years. LadyGypsy dot com is owned by a guy who sells subliminal hypnosis tapes and “magick amulets.” I once (very politely) contacted him so I could take over the name, since it’s never…

How to become unpopular

It’s been established here in the past that I fall a bit to the right ideologically. Actually, I consider myself a Libertarian, but lately if you’re not on the left, you’re nothing. (Seriously…I hear such hateful anti-Republican speech at work…

My inconvenient truth

It’s April 16th and there is a layer of SNOW on my car. That’s it. I’m going to start taking longer showers, asking for paper bags at the grocery and scrapping my plan to switch to compact fluorescent bulbs. I…

Sleepless in South Jersey

So I updated the links in the sidebar and brought back the hostess page. Well, if you can’t be full of yourself on your own blog, where else can you be full of yourself? This has been one of the…

Shameless attention whoring (what's new?)

So I was browsing my usual list of blogs and found this internet meme on my buddy Brian’s site. (Well, it’s really a LiveJournal but I won’t judge, since I have a MySpace I barely look at.) It looked interesting…

buenos dias

During the work week, Poochus McDoofus (nickname via the Wandering Minstrel) and I usually take our morning walk around 6:15 or so. During that time I listen to an episode of Coffee Break Spanish on the iPod. It’s a lot…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
