Replying to your diminishing faith. I am sure many people feel as you do, how could God let so many innocent people die and still expect us to go on as we do, Loving him…. Well the answer is a simple one, as I am sure you have heard before, God is testing your faith. Seeing if those who truely follow him will stick with it and not falter. As he says in his Word he hates the lukewarm, meaning those who claim to have faith but truely desire worldly things. I once thought as you, God seemed so distant and hard to reach. But I have come to realize it was God who is hard to reach, but rather Its hard for God to reach me. Temptation in this world is HUGE, God realized this when he sent his Son to save our souls. Having said that Lucifer right now is trying VERY hard to sway you from loving God, by either making you doubt he even exists, or making you wonder if he is a fair and just God. But, as the good Word says, we must come unto him as children, meaning without question….blind faith. Afterall, that’s what faith is, knwing and trusting in your heart of something you have no proof of. If God sat down next to you and spoke to you, you would have no doubt in your mind of His exsistence. But that would prove His exsistence, and He wants us to follow Him of our own accord. Now, I don’t have all the answers but I hope what I have written has helped some. If you still seek more answers there is a website that has helped me throught the troubled times. http://www.Godsaidmansaid.com

    AD: I think you’re a bit biased. 😉

Scottye: Thanks for the kind words and the website address. I think I’m going to pass this test of faith…but with a C or a D grade. But it’s still passing, right? It’s getting better every day. And He knows what I’m like. 🙂

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
