Storm Runner (or, a picture of BvP)
Today (well, yesterday) BvP and I took an impromptu trip to Hershey Park.
We had a fantastic time. We were only rained on for a short time, and we had enough chocolate to last at least a week or two. (His lunch had over 200g of carbs!)
But most importantly…BvP allowed me to scan this photo and put it on my site. So, for the first time in years…I present to you…my guy. ๐
I promise that we aren’t the kind of couple that dresses in the same color when we go out.
See more photos of our trip here.
Overheard:
BvP: “There are shows at Hershey Park?”
Me: “Yeah. They’re musical revues. Like the ‘Kids of the Kingdom’ shows at Walt Disney World without the benefit of decent lyrics.”
Teenage girl: “Have you ever gone on those…water coasters?”
Teenage boy: “What?”
TG: “Water coasters. When you ride and get wet.”
TB: “What are you talking about?”
TG: “Like…Splash Mountain.”
TB: “Oh. You mean Log Flumes?”
TG: “Is that what they’re called??”
Me: “Who can take a sunrise??? Sprinkle it in dew????”
BvP: “The Candyman can. Now can you stop singing that song?”
Cookie Salesgirl: “That’ll be $2.85.”
Tourist: “Put it on my Visa.”
I’m glad I did something somewhat cool for my 800th post.

Great pics, thanks for sharing! How much did that 5-pounder go for? Is there a “real” tour? And nice to finally “meet” BvP.

Happy 800th Post! Glad you had fun at Hershey. I’ve always wanted to go!

Ah, the orange BVP shirt… a classic. ๐

I think the 5-lb bar went for $25 – $30 dollars. A good way to avoid purchases like that is to shop in the middle of the day. That baby would have melted in minutes on a day like Saturday.
And the Baron wears orange shirts quite often. You could make a great drinking game if you took a sip for every time you saw him wear one in our photo albums. ๐

I’ll have you all know, the orange shirt is a theme park tradition! Much like fried concessions and sore feet, it’s a theme park must!
