Is the week done yet?

Yesterday? Was MUCH better than I thought. Training went VERY well. The Big Weekly Meeting was cancelled and the news folks are actually excited about the launch of Big Summer Project. I stayed until almost 7pm and caught up on a little bit of work, but I can already acutely feel the difference of being one short.

The spacewalk yesterday was successful, but to me it seems just as pathetic as if Jeff Gordon had to hop out of his car in the middle of a race to change a headlight..

Went to coffee w/Mom&John last night.

I’ve been waking up to NPR Very educational. (Did you know Carnegie is actually pronounced Car-NAY’-gee? I learned that from NPR!) Very informative. Screamingly liberally biased. I end up listening to conservative talk radio while driving to/from work in order to pull myself back to center, which is where I like to stay. (Bill Bennett? Great. Dennis Prager? Great. Michael Medved? Frustrating. Michael Savage? Terrifying.)

Breakfast: Grape nuts (Seriously…if you’re looking to cut back on your food…have Grape nuts. They totally kill your will to live)
Lunch: Thursday is library day, so I’ll probably grab a salad at a nearby place on the way back. Today I’m returning The Skystone. It was a slow read for me — full of Roman history and details that I don’t initially associate w/the Arthur legends — but it was still great. By the time I first read the word “Pendragon” (Arthur’s last name, for the uninitiated) on page 189, I cheered. .Looking forward to the next installment.
Dinner: Unknown.
Gym?: Yeah…today would be gym day, wouldn’t it? Crap.
Work Docket: Fix up Communities once I get in, do Scrapbook for the first time in at least 6 months. Correct a Virtual Job Fair page. Go over month-end expenses. Set up logins for Big Summer Project. Start a new banner.
Dream: I visited Aruba with my Mom. Helpful “tourist” signs around the resort said, “Please don’t ask the locals about the missing girl.” We took a train tour.
Quote from the Brow waxing tech: “I really commend you…it takes a lot of will to let your brows grow in like this before getting them waxed.”
My unspoken reply: “Oh…shut up.”

(sigh) Time to suit up for the gym. Please Mr. Custer…I don’t wanna go…

I thought I was the only person who let their brows grow like that..LOL It’s good to know there are others out there.

Seriously! If I’m paying someone to take the hair out, may as well have hair for them to work with right? It’s not like I looked like Bert.

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
